Can Business and Ethics go hand in hand?

Hey, Unethical practices can’t ever be enough. Thieves and cheats don’t have a retirement plan, do they? I think unethical practices should be curbed from day one. People are basically greedy, if you allow an inch, they will drag out for kilometers

it is necessary to see the impact of an ethical or unethical business. Suppose an unethical decision may save thousand s of jobs and an ethical decision can cost a thousand jobs. Which one will you choose? Any right thinking professional would make the unethical decision. But as the above post said, how much is enough, it is true, it is difficult to ascertain that. Now, if an unethical act can provide a thousand jobs and profits for the company but has an environmental harm, or insurance of people are lost, then the right decision would be the ethical one. I think unethical and ethical decisions should not be based on emotions but rather on its impact on the stakeholders both in the share market and society.

Hello guys, I think strongly support ethics in business because without that a business cannot be sustained for long. Business works for the development for the people and not the other way around. Corporate has a social responsibility to its stakeholders and it should dp everything to protect his rights. If business ethics are not followed everything would go topsy-turvy.

Already mineral water, and soft drink manufactures were caught with more than acceptable level of pesticide content in water. Greasing corrupt politicians palms with black money is one thing, but giving unassuming innocent people diseases is definitely worse than that. Business ethics forces corporate to put in practice certain safety guards and other measure for the welfare of their customers.

See the basic example of not following the ethics in the business environment and bearing the wrath is the current market scenario. Just see how companies have been shut down at a considerable rate and i don think there is any other reason then unethical method of handling situations.
