Have you invested in a homebased business that turned out to be an over-hyped movie?

Have you ever come across such a situation where the home-based opportunity where you eagerly invested reaped the same result as an over-hyped movie. You were all jacked up with how wonderful the movie was going to be, only to discover after seeing the same that it is pathetic to say the least. This is actually how some home-based business opportunities are. Initially, I myself have been one of the victim of such cases. But, today have learned from my mistakes and currently earn above average from home based businesses.

One of my secret is that i research a lot before investing...What about you...Help others avoid those high budget over-hyped movies...

Guess what even i am in the list of those people, who had a terrible initial experience of investing in overhyped affiliates. I found it in most of those case that there is more to it than what meets the eye. From then onwards, I decided that I will go with personally contacting the previous users and avoiding the feedback from previous users.

I think most of us have fallen prey at some level to these scams. The key as Ronal mentioned is to do your own research. The old but useful adage, "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is" is always useful.
Very few legal jobs provide you with tens of thousands of dollars "for just a few hours work a week".
It is useful to have a balance between the energy and positive attitude required to start a business and the scepticism needed not to be duped with ever scam on the street.

I believe that there is no chance of us to come across something, which is actually worth ten times our investment in this recession. if we agree to this, then there is no chance of us getting caught in the web of overhyped products. Just be sensible. Follow the market and the product that you will be promoting. Am sure you will end up with a better deal even in this condition.
